AI Governance · Vendor Oversight · EU AI Act
Governance should not slow down every AI initiative. It should clarify who decides, which risks are reviewed and when a use case may go into operation. I build a proportionate process around your organization that turns regulatory requirements into practical product and operating decisions.
Teams often already use AI tools while oversight, approvals and accountability remain unclear. Product, IT, legal and data protection address the same questions separately. A shared intake and risk-based gates create one dependable way of working.
- A consistent intake for new AI use cases and product ideas
- Risk-based assessment and documentation for each use case
- Approval gates with clear criteria for pilots, further development and operation
- Assessment of AI vendors, third parties and relevant dependencies
- Defined responsibilities across product, IT, legal and data protection
- A current overview of planned and operational AI use cases
- Traceable decisions instead of implicit individual approvals
- A risk-based approach that treats simple and critical initiatives differently

Map the landscape
Existing tools, use cases, owners and decision paths are recorded.
- 02
Design the gates
We define risk-dependent reviews, required evidence and accountable roles.
- 03
Establish operation
Intake, documentation and periodic review become part of existing collaboration rather than a parallel bureaucracy.

Does this replace a legal review?
No. I turn requirements into product and business processes and work with your legal and data protection owners. Formal legal advice remains with appropriately qualified professionals.
Do we need a new governance committee?
Not necessarily. Governance should integrate with existing product, IT and management decisions wherever possible. A new forum only makes sense when it closes a genuine decision gap.
Can existing AI tools be added retrospectively?
Yes. The intake can start with an inventory. Existing applications are ordered by risk and relevance, then moved step by step into the same decision process.
